Seismic Monitoring Technology
To better understand the performance of seismic isolators during an earthquake, Taiwan Matsuzawa has developed seismic triaxial displacement acceleration and trajectory disk detection technology. This technology uses an electronic trajectory disk to calculate the displacement distance on the X and Y axes during an earthquake, ensuring that the isolators are operating within normal parameters. If any isolator damage occurs, the data can help estimate the cause and condition of the damage, improving repair accuracy.
Seismic Triaxial Displacement Acceleration and Trajectory Disk Detection Instrument
The seismic triaxial displacement acceleration and trajectory disk detection instrument is primarily used for monitoring seismic isolators. Since earthquakes involve triaxial motion, this instrument ensures that the actual ground shaking and indoor shaking of the seismic isolation building are recorded during an earthquake. It measures how much of the seismic force is absorbed by the isolators. During an earthquake, the instrument uses gyroscopes and accelerometers to record instantaneous displacement and motion trajectories.
Backend Displacement Data Analysis
The trajectory disk detection instrument quantifies the seismic energy offset by the isolators, providing insight into their performance. This data is also useful for identifying the main causes of damage if the isolators are damaged or do not fully recover.
